Kamal Grewal

Kamal built Therapy Companion from his experience as a therapy client and from seeing how documentation, disconnected systems, and insurance work affect therapists.

He designed and built the platform across client engagement, clinical work, practice operations, and insurance workflows. Before Therapy Companion, he held strategy leadership roles at Target, Amazon, and Walmart, managing multibillion-dollar businesses. He has an MBA from the University of Minnesota's Carlson School of Management and a background in software engineering.

Kamal is not a therapist. His perspective comes from his experience as a therapy client and his work building software with feedback from practitioners.

Practitioner input

Feedback from the work of running a practice.

Walk through real workflows

Practice conversations help identify the handoffs, review steps, and administrative work the product needs to support.

Learn from onboarding

Migration and setup bring practical questions into focus: what records move, who needs access, and what the practice needs to review.

Keep improving the resources

Documentation guides and public tools are open to practitioner feedback. Product advice and clinical review are distinct; a contributor's involvement does not imply endorsement of every page.
